Excellent analysis. The seeds of this cultural rot were present in the early days of Google: they hired people as Lego blocks! You didn't know what you would be working on. It has obviously gotten much worse. There are so many bugs in Google software, and I've resorted to emailing senior folks, and they simply don't care. Zero customer focus.
